Bresee Foundation Gala 2019: An overview and why you should know about Bresee

I was invited to attend the Bresee Foundation Gala 2019. I had a blast because the host, Kim Cardwell-Harvey, kept the crowd entertained with her fun approach to fundraising. Read more details after the jump:
What is Bresee Foundation? It is all about helping the kids.
The Bresee Foundation (“Bresee”) started in 1982 in hopes of building a community center that would support families who were struggling to break the cycle of poverty. The caring Bresee staff members help youth in the area who need a safe place and engaging activities after school as an alternative to the gang activity and destructive behaviour in the community. In 2001, Bresee purchased and renovated a 15,000-square-foot facility where Bresee is still housed today. Today, Bresee is a vibrant community center providing the Los Angeles community with numerous programs that encourage the growth of young people and their families. What happened during the Bresee Gala?
The Bresee Gala was hosted in the gorgeous interior of the Taglyan Complex and was well-attended by local celebrities, prominent professionals, Bresee staff and board members, and the amazing kids that Bresee serves. Kim Caldwell-Harvey was hilarious and wowed attendees with her excellent fundraising skills to help raise well over $115,000 tonight! She also proved to have a fabulous voice when she performed “Titanium.” Here is a picture of me and Kim.

Although I had awesome table mates, including Rene Lopez who is Director of Operations, I won’t be able to share those pictures until I get them from the professional photographer.
